Offshore Maintenance

Problem: Hurricane related offshore maintenance on Risers and Pig Launchers

Summary: INTEGRA supplied their SEAStallion™ range of Subsea Tensioners and a technician to assist divers during an emergency shutdown on an offshore platform that had hurricane related damage.  The SEAStallions™ were used to tension a pipeline riser to a tie-in spool and tensioning on MAB, swivel and weld neck flanges on the risers.  The SEAStallions™ were also used by divers to tension and detension a blind flange to a pig launcher and then used to retension the flange to a 20” valve.

The technician was requested by the customer to be offshore with the tools, to assist the diver with pump operations, advise on technical knowledge about the tool operation, clean tools and hoses and be a general help as and when needed.

Result: Customer was extremely happy with the Technician and the tools that were provided by INTEGRA, the job was completed on time and the “technician worked long and hard when needed” Diving Superintendent.
